This is our old table & chairs--it used to look a lot cuter, but it's been through a lot. We got it for free when we got married from Jacob's brother & his wife, who were moving and didn't want to bring it with them. It's been through a lot of moves, and it broke when we moved from Utah to Missouri, so the top isn't connected anymore to the legs. We've been using it that way for almost 3 years, but it's been getting more and more unstable. Screws are missing all over the place in both the table and the chairs, and the kids (and probably Jacob & I a little) have done a pretty good job of staining the once-white chair cushions. Our biggest concern has been that it is so unsafe. We were always worried that the kids would push or pull the top of the table over and get hurt, and we've lost our entire dinner once because the top got knocked off.

And the best part is that the kids can now play in the kitchen & on the table, which is the first thing they did when we brought the new table inside. It's so nice not having to worry about the table falling on top of them if they touch it wrong!

Yay!!! I'm so happy for your new table! Seeing that little old table brought me straight back to the days it was in our tiny little house in Provo. Wish it had been better quality, I'm pretty sure it was only like $50 from walmart :) Hope the move goes smoothly. We miss you guys
